What I learned from changing my mourning routine

Why you should have you should have one

Just about every leadership book, personal growth, and every leader in various industries will tell you that having a morning routine is essential to your success. I’ve read books, articles seen videos and looked to just about every type of media for “the best morning routine.” Every successful person will tell you that you need to have a morning routine, but exactly how to develop one for yourself is another matter. What I found is that there isn’t a template for a standard morning routine, but there are some aspects that they all seem to have in common. Towards the end of this I’ll share my personal morning routine. I haven’t been perfect in doing it everyday but I’ll share the difference that I’ve seen in my own life from when I accomplish my routine and when I don’t.

Why do I need a morning routine? Can I have one with kids, work, and all the other things that come with life? The answer to both those questions is yes! How to get your desired destination, however, may cause you to roll your eyes like I did when I first embarked on this journey. But then I began to take the first step. If I can do it, you can to.
It all starts with setting yourself up for success. Set a reasonable time for going to bed. It’s easier to have a successful morning when you are well rested.
I’ve been hit or miss in the past with a morning routine. Recently I’ve had more hits than misses lately and it’s really impacted me.
One morning in particular I was able to pray, do some reading, journal and have some personal time. I did all this before 8am. My morning then set me up for a great day!
Our mornings are crucial for how we want our days to go. A great day starts with a great morning. Be intentional about your morning. Set yourself up for the best possible outcome.
