5 Fun and Easy Summer Date Ideas

The summer months are here. Great weather, beaches and the kids being out of school. Summer months are some of the best ones, and we look forward to them every year.

The summer months are a perfect time to spend time with your spouse and plan a great date for the two of you. Use the anatomy of a date and elevate anything that you do together.

Here are some awesome date ideas to inspire you and get your creative juices flowing.

  1. Watch a Movie Outdoors

Take your normal movie experience and change it up. If you’re lucky enough to have a drive-in theater close by, take full advantage of it. Otherwise, check your local city guide for these outdoor movies. There usually local parks, so with a little research, this can be a great night out.

  1. Go for a Bike ride

There’s nothing quite like a relaxing bike ride. It will immediately take you back to your childhood. Don’t have your own bike, no problem. You can check local shops or travel to the beach and rent a bike for a couple of hours and take a nice relaxing ride along the beach.

  1. Watch the Sunset.

If you’re feeling ambitious you can try to watch the sunrise. What may be more feasible would be to watch the sunset. By that time the kids are in bed. Grab a light snack and some conversation starters and enjoy the sunset.

  1. Do an Ice Cream Crawl

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream! Got a free day? What better way to use it than to do an ice cream crawl. If you pace yourself right you can have a great day and enjoy ice cream from all of your favorite places.

  1. Find the Best Food Truck

Food trucks are becoming a staple across the country. The summer is a great time to track down your favorite or the ones that you’ve always wanted to try. Treat you and your spouse to some good food and enjoy a nice walk while you eat. If you want to have some added fun, make a bracket, March Madness-style and try them all.

Guys, summer is the perfect time to get out of the house and do some things with your spouse that you haven’t done in a while. It’s also a great time to establish a family tradition with summer activities with the kids.

No matter what you do, enjoy your family and your spouse.
